The History of Mu Beta
The Founding of the Mu Beta Chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon
On Feburary 15, 1969 the Mu Beta chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon was founded at Eastern Kentucky University's campus. The chapter originally had 30 members upon signing its charter. The gentlemen that were a part of the chapter when it signed its charter would create traditions that would forever be unique on EKU's campus.
Since Mu Beta Chapter's Founding
To date, over 600 members have initiated into the Mu Beta EKU chapter. Our chapter currently has hundreds of Alumni in the surrounding areas around their beloved college, several of which still attend EKU sporting events when they are free. With traditions still growing strong, the EKU Tekes proudly represent Tau Kappa Epsilon and Colonel Pride by attending as many campus events as possible for the ultimate involvement experience.
